The Inbetweeners at El Plantío This week, members of the Inbetweeners Golf Society once again gathered at their home course, El Plantío, for another competitive day of golf, plenty of good humour, and, as usual, a healthy dose of optimism and selective memory.

The morning started surprisingly humid, making the first few holes feel a little more demanding than expected.

Thankfully, the clouds soon gave way to glorious sunshine and a gentle breeze, leaving us with near-perfect conditions for the rest of the round.

The course was looking in excellent shape, although the notoriously tricky greens provided plenty of frustration. Their subtle breaks had even the most confident putters second-guessing themselves, turning seemingly straightforward putts into a collection of memorable three-putts.

As always, the round delivered its usual mixture of golfing brilliance and shots that were quickly erased from memory.
There were some moments of genuine quality, proving that there is still plenty of good golf within the group, while other shots were best left unexplained.
But with plenty of laughs, good company, and the all-important bragging rights at stake, it was another thoroughly enjoyable day out for the Inbetweeners Golf Society.
