Inbetweeners Golf Society: Another Day of Sunshine at El Plantio Golf Course Inbetweeners Golf Society: Match Report – 14th May at El Plantio Golf Course! The Inbetweeners at El Plantio Golf Course This week, the Inbetweeners Golf Society gathered at their home course, El Plantio Golf Resort, for another enjoyable day of golf, camaraderie, and friendly competition. The society was delighted to welcome two guests to the field, Peter Lovney and Steve Shears, both of whom settled in well and produced impressive rounds on the day. The morning began under warm sunshine with a light, gentle breeze, creating near-perfect playing conditions that remained pleasant throughout the round. As always, the course was presented beautifully, with the fairways and greens in excellent condition and receiving plenty of praise from players throughout the day. Competition among the members was close from the very first tee, with several players producing consistent scoring and some excellent golf across the course. Good shots, near misses, and plenty of banter ensured the round was enjoyed by everyone involved. Another successful and thoroughly enjoyable day for the Inbetweeners Golf Society, with both members and guests already looking forward to the next outing. The Day’s Winners were: “Congratulations to our top three finishers in today’s competition. In 1st place, with 35 points, Joel Mortiers – In 2nd place, on 34 points, Ray Hill. Inbetweeners Golf Society: A Day of Sunshine at El Plantio Golf Course Inbetweeners Golf Society: Match Report – 16th April at El Plantio Golf Course! This week, members of the Inbetweeners Golf Society gathered at their home course, El Plantío, for their own slightly less prestigious—but no less fiercely contested—version of the Masters. With wall-to-wall sunshine and a gentle breeze, conditions were as close to Augusta as you’re likely to get without a transatlantic flight. The course was in excellent shape, although the famously tricky greens caused enough confusion to suggest they may have been designed by someone with a personal vendetta—subtle breaks that would have even given Rory McIlroy a quiet mutter. As ever, the round delivered a full spectrum of golfing entertainment: moments of brilliance that briefly sparked dreams of a Green Jacket, mixed in with the occasional shot that would’ve been better off left in the bag. Course management ranged from “bold” to “what on earth was he thinking?”, but confidence remained impressively high throughout. The competitive spirit was alive and well, with every missed putt met by a chorus of encouragement (and entirely supportive laughter). Claims of “that moved at the end” and “I definitely read that right” echoed across the greens with increasing frequency. By the time the final putts dropped, scorecards had been… interpreted, stories had already grown in the telling, and the post-round analysis was in full swing over well-earned refreshments. While no Green Jacket was slipped onto the winner’s shoulders, the bragging rights—and selective memory—were firmly secured. The Day’s Winners were: “Congratulations to our top three finishers in today’s competition. In 1st place, with a superb 36 points, Alistair Quin – and that score will mean a handicap cut!
