Inbetweeners Golf Society: Another Day of Warm Weather at La Finca Golf Course Inbetweeners Golf Society: Match Report – 10th September Las Ramblas Golf Course! The Inbetweeners at Las Ramblas This week, the Inbetweeners Golf Society ventured to Las Ramblas Golf Course for another eagerly anticipated day of golf, questionable decision-making, and the usual generous interpretation of the word “competitive.” The format for the day was a Texas Scramble, which brought out the very best in teamwork, strategy and, naturally, vigorous debate. Selecting the best drive was relatively straightforward. Deciding which approach shot to use was slightly more complicated, with some teams displaying excellent tactical awareness and others seemingly operating under the principle of, “It must be someone’s fault!” There were some excellent drives, impressive approaches and a few putts that genuinely deserved applause. Some shots immediately disappeared from everyone’s collective memory, usually accompanied by the words, “I just caught it a bit.” The beauty of Texas Scramble is that everyone gets to contribute — although some contributions were considerably more valuable than others! There was plenty of encouragement between teammates, along with the occasional discussion over exactly which shot should be selected. In the end, the results were very close, with one or two better putts during the round making all the difference. But, as always, the real winners were the Inbetweeners themselves — enjoying great company, plenty of laughs, a beautiful day at Las Ramblas, and just enough bragging rights to keep the arguments going until the next round. The Results 🥇 1st Place – Garry Garbett – Ken Owen – Eugenio Lara – Frank Cullen – 49 points 🥈 2nd Place – Bertrand La Font – Sam Williamson – Kevin Sewards – Lesley Cullen – 48 points 🥉 3rd Place – Malcolm Thomas – Paul Cox – Vic Smith – Joel Mortiers – 47 points 4th Place – James Rolston – Roy Harris – Martin Buckley – 46 points A big thank you to everyone who took part and helped make it another great day of golf. Inbetweeners Golf Society: Another Day of Very Hot Weather at La Finca Golf Course Inbetweeners Golf Society: Match Report – 27 Augustat La Finca Golf Course! Inbetweeners Golf Society at La Finca. It was another early start for the Inbetweeners as 16 brave souls made the trip to the excellent La Finca Golf Course for the latest instalment of the 2026 season. With the tee times beginning at 10:00 am, there was little time for excuses, bacon sandwiches or last-minute swing changes. The players assembled, the clubs were dusted down and, with handicaps safely tucked away, the competition was on. La Finca provided its usual stern test, with beautifully presented fairways, challenging greens and plenty of opportunities for the sort of shots that look brilliant in the practice swing but mysteriously disappear once the ball is in front of you. There was some excellent golf on display, along with the usual mixture of birdies, pars, heroic recovery shots and the occasional ball that was last seen heading towards another postcode. The Day’s Winners were: “Congratulations to our top three finishers in today’s competition. Inbetweeners Golf Society: Another Day of Very Hot Weather at La Finca Golf Course Inbetweeners Golf Society: Match Report – 18 June at La Finca Golf Course! Inbetweeners at La Finca. The Inbetweeners Golf Society enjoyed another fantastic day of golf at La Finca, where Salva Lucas and his team extended a warm welcome to all members. The course was presented in outstanding condition and was widely regarded as one of the best we have played so far this year. Players teed off under cloudy skies, but the sun soon broke through, making the shaded areas a welcome refuge throughout the round. A refreshing breeze arrived on the back nine, providing some much-appreciated relief and making the closing holes more comfortable. Competition was keen throughout the day, with players battling both the course and each other in pursuit of valuable points. Some members found an early rhythm and built impressive scores, while others showed great resilience in recovering from difficult moments. The challenging layout ensured that concentration was required on every hole, rewarding good course management and well-executed shots. As always, there were plenty of memorable moments and stories to share once the round was complete. By the time the final groups had completed their rounds, there was unanimous agreement that it had been another highly successful outing—combining excellent golf, great company, and superb course conditions.
